My Story

Once upon a time there was an AMBitious exploerER named AMBER (see what I did there, tehehe). Amber had many dreams: first she wanted to be a dolphin trainer, then a movie star, then a singer, then a superhero, and finally she settled on a veterinarian. On the eve of her eighteenth birthday a mail-carrier brought her a present. It was an acceptance letter to UC Davis.

Although she was quite happy in her new home, she could sense  something was missing from her life.

After her second year Amber made the very rash decision to take on a large motorized vehicle. To her dismay she realized that superhero wasn’t in the cards for a future profession

That moment opened her eyes.

She wasn’t living her life, she was living the life that everyone else wanted her to live. Amber was a gypsy, a writer, an artist, and old soul longing to explore the universe and all it had to offer. Upon receiving her graduation certificate she left her birth country for the first time and moved to the distance land of Korea (South not North). But her journey did not end there.

She continued to travel, spending five months in South America and another two in Europe before being accepted into The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Once more Amber went through a period of change. She became more certain of herself.

Upon returning home she dabbled in several professions including substitute teaching, serving, receptionist, ski lift operator, and caretaker. In her free time she wrote fiction and dreamed of the adventures yet to be had.

After two years, finally the time had come for her to depart once more and take on the world.
